Dr. Bauer received his medical degree from University of Illinois Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine. His post-graduate education includes a residency at Northwestern University Medical Center and fellowships at University of Illinois Medical Center for Neurosurgery and Duke University Medical Center for Functional Neurosurgery. He is a member of leading professional societies and associations, including American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Chicago Medical Society, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Illinois State Medical Society and North American Spine Society.
